Bio

Misten Wassink Langenfeld, who earned a B.A. degree in mass communication/advertising and marketing from USF in 2000, ranks as one of the school’s all-time greats in volleyball. While a Cougar, she also played basketball, tennis and participated in theatre.

When she graduated Wassink Langenfeld held numerous volleyball school records, including kills per game at 3.5 in 1999, kills in a season with 432 in 1999 and attacks in a season with 1,153 in 1997. Named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in 1999, she set USF Volleyball’s career kills mark of 1,561 and attack attempts with 4,270.  During her career, Wassink Langenfeld recorded the three best single season kill totals (432, 394, and 390) to that point in Cougar history.  In three of the four years Wassink Langenfeld competed, the Cougars won 20 or more matches, including a 29-11 mark when she was a freshman.

As a senior, the Cougars were 26-13 while recording a 19-14 mark in 1998 and a 20-12 record in 1997 when she was a sophomore. In total, she had 136 block solos, including a career best 59 as a senior. She also had 151 block assists (career-best 57 as a senior) and accumulated 1,810 digs with a career-best 491 as a freshman. She also received several conference player of the week honors.

After leaving USF, she worked at KSFY-TV and Vision Video before starting her own advertising agency, Ripple Marketing in 2009 and adding The Creative Co-Op in 2010. She and her husband Luke, a former USF baseball coach, have three daughters Finley, Camila and Liv.
