Over time, he has served in nearly every athletic administrations.  Among those positions are Athletic Director, Booster Club Director, Equipment Manager, Intramural Director, Trainer, and Sports Information Director.  SID became the Athletic Director in 1991 and through his leadership oversaw a tremendous growth in USF athletics.  The number of varsity sports offered to men and women doubled and the number of athletes attending USF virtually tripled during that time.  During his tenure as Athletic Director USF won 19 S.D.I.C. Championships and an NAIA National Football Championship.  A strong advocate of equal opportunities for women, he was influential in the hiring of full time female coaches to promote an equitable balance in the athletic programs at USF.  SID has sought to honor the Christian Mission of the University by faithful service to the many athletes and coaches at USF during this time. He remains a Senior Athletic Administrator with USF.
