A 1987 graduate of the University of Sioux Falls, Frick finished his basketball career as one of the school’s most prolific scorers.
He told 1,642 points from 1984-87, a total which ranked fourth when his career concluded. Three times (1985-87), he won varsity letters in basketball. In 1986-87, Frick set a school single season mark of 700 points. He also established a record for most field goals in a season with 281 in 1986-87. In his career, he averaged 21.3 points per game and three times was a first-team All-SDIC honoree (1985-87). In the 1986-87 season, he was a NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. During the 1984-85 season, he was part of USF’s SDIC championship squad.
Following graduation, Frick played professional basketball with the CBA Rapid City Thrillers (1987-88).
