Bio

In 1988, head coach Bob Young led the Sioux Falls College Football team to an undefeated regular season in the South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference. The team went 10-1 that season with their only loss coming in the playoffs.

Throughout that season, the Cougars outscored opponents 269-101 and found themselves ranked eighth in the final NAIA Division II standings. They set six season records, including: best season record (10-1), most consecutive games won (10), most touchdowns in a season (34), most points scored (269), rushing offense (2,104 yards) and rushing touchdowns (21).

The team picked up the SDIC Conference Championship and placed 10 players on the All-SDIC Team while Bob Booth was named the SDIC Most Valuable Player. Coach Bob Young was named the 1988 SDIC Coach of the Year following one of the best seasons in USF Football history.
